Job Description:


The Test Engineer's responsibilities include the oversight and coordination of the test activities to ensure compliance to production requirements regarding testing and quality, as well as reducing costs of testing. They are also responsible for the development of test procedures, project test plans and specifications. Test Engineers are also responsible for overseeing the maintenance of current test equipment as well as performing periodic tests to maintain acceptable repeatability and reliability requirements.

A day on the job may include:
Analyze production test results to ensure compliance set specifications
Responsible for tracking production test results, maintaining optimal performance and calibrations of all automated test equipment
Learn in-house software and contribute to software maintenance and updates
Work within the cross functional team to ensure all test engineering issues are resolved
Development of test procedures and identify the requirements for the project specific test equipment
Perform the duties of the main liaison between quality control, manufacturing and test equipment engineering with respect to production testing
Provide status reports to the Project Manager, project team, customers, and management. Escalate critical project issues to management.
Lead the formulation and distribution of the final qualification test reports and assure the lab and other written and oral reports necessary to support the projects are completed
Provide support to the engineering team at all production locations
Willing to travel when needed to support remote production locations
Assist in design and develop software for testing of new products and automation of existing products
Train lab personnel on use of tester software

Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related engineering field
Strong computer skills are required including familiarity with Windows-based programs such as Microsoft productivity tools (e.g., Excel, Word, and Outlook)
Comfortable using LABView, MatLab, Agilent VSA, Visio, National Test Stand or software products, and any other engineering software products
Computer programming experience in C#, and embedded C
Less than 1 year of working experience on test engineering, test development, or equivalent working experience in a manufacturing environment
Excellent verbal and written communication skills required
Self-starter, someone who can provide process leadership and support for all objectives
Ability to work in a team environment
Ability to multi-task in fast paced environment
Excellent written and spoken English communication skills, good interpersonal skills

Extra Awesome:
2+ years of working experience on test engineering, test development, or equivalent working experience in a manufacturing environment
Experience in electromechanical systems testing
Must be detail oriented and highly organized
Writing skills: able to document root cause analysis and report in a clear and concise manner
Spanish speaking is a plus
