Design of equipment and installations related to filtration and neutralization of pollutants in gases from industrial processes and applications, in the steel, cement and others industrial sector.
Duties and Responsibilities
Presale support activities, identification of customer needs, conducting of feasibility and performance studies.
Reviews customer technical and commercial specifications and develops proposals based on customer requirements.
Provides cost-price calculations and executes equipment proposal along with Sales Team for Environmental Systems.
Generates required engineering specifications, as per application and customer requirements.
Works closely with customers and sales engineers and acts as a technical expert for those entities and the company.
Prepares the Technical & Commercial Proposal for the systems to be presented to the customer.
Works with the team to draw up, develop, and optimize calculation models for engineered solution designs and cost-price calculations.
Works with colleagues within the ES division when the solution for the customer expands outside of the typical Gases systems portfolio of solutions.
Dealing with providers for these applications, installations, components and ancillary equipment.
Works with the customers, as well as, the project team, during the duration of the project.
Provide Application Engineering and Project Management expertise in Gas Treatment (i.e. conceptual design of new or special configurations, evaluation of existing designs, basic modification of existing systems, etc.).
Area of Expertise
Installations of filtration with bag filters and electrostatic precipitators.
Installations of neutralization of pollutants in gases for removing acid gases, heavy metals, dioxins and furans, NOx and VOCs.
Dry process with calcium hydroxide, sodium bicarbonate, powdered activated carbon, semi-wet process and wet process.
Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) and Selective Non-Catalytic Reduction (SNCR) processes.
MA/MS or BA/BS degree in Chemical or related Engineering
5+ years of related application engineering experience or sales
Environmental Industry experience
Air Pollution Control Systems experience
AutoCad 2D and 3D Inventor; a plus
Must be fluent in Spanish and English
