•Client is looking for a Biomedical Engineer to assess the condition and make necessary repairs to inbound medical devices as they are delivered to our warehouse. An ideal candidate will be able to diagnose and repair high-level electronic components and has knowledge of all biomedical equipment and low-end imaging devices.
•Determine condition of inbound equipment by testing device and accessory performance
•Perform any necessary adjustments, calibrations, and tests to bring the devices back to manufacturer’s specification
•Perform light PMs on client devices
•Document actions taken on devices and supplies performance reports as needed
•Order parts and components needed to resolve device performance issues
•Provide software version and last calibration information to the product management team
•Provide equipment operation demonstrations; instructing other staff by answering questions; providing information
•Maintains safe and healthy working environment by conducting safety tests; recommending and complying with procedures; complying with medical device codes
•Accomplishes organization goals by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments
•Assess equipment for The Dalton Foundation
Required Skills and Qualifications:
Knowledge in the following areas: Patient Monitoring, Telemetry, Beds/Tables, Infusion Pumps, Electrosurgical Units, Anesthesia/Respiratory, Portable X-Ray, C-Arms, and light Ultrasound. BMET certification a plus.
